Island accommodation

Charter yachts are welcome to anchor or moor at many Whitsunday resorts. A fee of between $50 to $100 per vessel per night generally applies and entitles you to use the resort facilities.

Hamilton Island

Sail to Hamilton Island for a little retail therapy, a spa visit or to enjoy the restaurants and atmosphere of this renowned boaties' playground. Enjoy a drink at the nautically-designed Hamilton Island Yacht Club or get active with go-karting, golf, helicopter rides and more. In August the island hosts the annual Hamilton Island Race Week which attracts sailing enthusiasts from all over the world.

Overnight stopovers are allowed in the marina and attract a berthing fee. The island's airport has flights arriving daily from major state capitals and it's possible to arrange pick up and drop off of your charter vessel here.

One&Only Hayman Island

Palm Bay Resort

Palm Bay Resort on Long Island provides luxury resort facilities on a budget. Guests can bring their own food and drink. The resort has private waterfront bungalows, bures and cabins, but guests can prepare meals in the in-room kitchenettes or use the shared cooking facilities in the central part of the resort. Long Island is a national park home to several walking tracks with a coral reef off the beach in front of the resort. The resort also has a pool, tennis court, kayaks, a media room and a library. Transfers are available from Airlie Beach via water taxi, helicopter, seaplane or ferry.

BIG4 Airlie Cove Resort and Caravan Park

BIG4 Airlie Cove Resort and Caravan Park offers family holiday accommodation just past Airlie Beach, along Lucas Creek. It has camp kitchens, a large free-form swimming pool with slide and spa, full-sized tennis courts, a children's playground, and more. The resort park features cabins, caravan and camping accommodation.
