CHECK AVAILABILITY

Careful provisioning is key to the success of your Whitsundays adventure. Catering for your hungry crew is all part of the fun on your self-sail boat trip.

We have multiple provisioning options for you to choose from and you can go as gourmet or as simple and pre-prepared as you choose. The main thing to remember is to plan ahead and make sure you have all your provisions on your boat before you set sail.

Also, keep in mind the boat’s kitchen or “galley” as we call it, fridge and freezer may not be quite as big as your one at home. It’s good to think about simple, tasty meals that are easy to prepare so you can spend your time enjoying the islands.

Here are some options you may like to consider for stocking up your vessel with food and drinks for your trip:

Self Catering

If you are well organised and/or maybe even a local to the area, you are more than welcome to simply bring all your desired food and beverages along to the boat and load up.

There are various supermarkets and specialist produces providers in both Airlie Beach and Cannonvale, including butchers, greengrocers, bakeries and seafood suppliers, allowing you to self-provision locally before your charter. A couple of our favourites are Fishi and Master Butchers Whitsundays.

Many guests opt to organise a click and collect from Coles in Cannonvale or Woolworths in Airlie Beach. They simply drive past and collect their shopping before arriving at Shute.

Place a supermarket online order

Both Woolworths and Coles will deliver to our HQ here at Shute Harbour. Just keep in mind, we are unable to sign for your delivery so you just need to make sure you are already here to receive your groceries. This can be a great option particularly if you are doing a sleep aboard the night prior to setting sail.

Utilise a local provisioning business

Have one of the local provisioning businesses deliver your food and drink to your boat. This is the most convenient way to stock your vessel and relax into your holiday. If you are having a ‘sleep aboard’ the night before your charter commences, they can deliver your provisions the afternoon you arrive or from 7 am the next morning, allowing you to be all unpacked before your briefing commences. Platters are also a great option to soak up the marina atmosphere!
