Briefing & Training before you charter
When it comes to getting acquainted with your home on the water, which by the way, you do NOT need a boat license to operate, rest assured you will receive a comprehensive boat and Whitsunday Islands briefing.
Our briefings are done with a qualified boat briefer onboard your vessel. Briefings take 3-4 hours and include a thorough introduction to your vessel, its fittings and your cruising area.
The briefer will assist you in planning the ideal itinerary for the conditions and they’ll show you how to put the sails up on your catamaran or yacht.
If you are new to Whitsundays bareboat charters, see our blog on sailing the Whitsundays for the first time.
Support throughout your Skipper Yourself charter & our Sail Guide Option
If you feel that you would like more training than the standard pre-charter briefing, you can request that your briefer join you for extra training time.
We also offer a sail guide service, which is the addition of a professional guide to your crew for a night or even for your whole trip.
Radio and phone support is available on-demand throughout your charter with mandatory “radio scheds” at the start and end of each day, so we know where you’re heading and that you got there safely.
